A Branson Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was with the Brannon family - and instead of going to Fort Gibson we all went to Branson! Despite taking an actual camera, the only evidence of this trip is a few iPhone photos- but at least we (Thanks, Beth!) got that.

First stop from the airport - the home of the thrown rolls, Lambert's! We love eating here and it is a must-do every time we are in Branson. This pretty much started the downhill decline of healthy eating for a few days - but it is the holidays, right?

Here are Andy & I enjoying Lambert's:

And Eric & Ashley (Andy's brother-in-law & sister) enjoying it as well:

We also had Andy's parents and one of his grandmothers with us as well, who somehow avoided these few pictures altogether...nice work to them!

The next day we went to Silver Dollar City. I certainly felt "mom-ish" for the first time here - rather than riding the rides I sat in the observation area and held loose items! It was fun to walk around though, and that night we saw the parade and lights which is always a big extravaganza. Just being with family and spending time outside was really nice as well.  Here is a picture of the "kids" on our way out of the park:

We had a big Thanksgiving meal at the condo, and spent the rest of that day relaxing for the most part.  On Friday the genders split - with the guys going out on a boat fishing on the lake and the ladies going shopping! Black Friday in Branson was probably not as crazy as in the big city...but certainly an adventure! However, we all got some Christmas shopping done - which as Beth put it, "Any time you get Christmas gifts done in November, you're ahead of the game." I agree!

Fischer also made out like a little bandit! I think we should've brought him a suitcase for the haul that little guy made. Another great Beth quote, though, explained that, "He started out with nothing, so he needs a lot!"

In exciting news, I also got my diaper bag! Well, sort of. Andy's parents got it for me for Christmas...so at this point it is still a "surprise," albeit one that I am very excited about!

The rest of the weekend we alternated between relaxing, eating, and shopping. Here is one last pic of Andy & I (while eating, surprise!):

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too!
