10 Months Old Baby Bear!

*Disclaimer: Yes, I am posting this nearly a month late...Mom Fail, with a busy boy on the loose! However, I at least took the pictures on time...so this is really tiny at 10!*

Length

Last Month: 29"

Now: 30"

Weight

Last Month: 19lbs 12oz (50th %)

Now:  21lbs 2oz (60th %)

Special Talents:
Crawling and Cruising. You are pretty brave with cruising around, and love to use your belly to prop yourself up standing at a table/ottoman/etc.

Crying:
You do this new “whine/annoyed” cry thing when you want something. More like an “aaaahhhhhhh” in an annoyed tone than a real cry – and you sure show off your lungs when doing this trick.

Sleeping:
At night: Sleeping all night again consistently, 7-6. Is this semi-permanent now? Whew.
For naps: Still been down to two – usually lunchtime (11-12:30) and a catnap in the afternoon (3-3:45ish). I’m thinking you’re going to self switch down to one soon….we shall see. You are happy as a lark most of the time in between – so I’m kind of letting you drive this one buddy bear.

Loves:
DADA! You are a Daddy’s boy right now- which your Dad is just soaking up. You get so excited when he comes in the room and boy do you love to play with him.  Food! At least your pouches. You have become fairly independent and prefer not to be spoon fed. So we let you do most of the control on your pouches and you get really excited when mealtime comes.
You love grown up items that aren’t your toys – like leaves, paper, and assorted trash. We joke that we can just take away all your toys and leave out a few pieces of trash to keep you entertained for hours.
You are finally officially really attached to your silky, and really don’t like to sleep without it.

Not so much love:
Still out on strangers for the most part. The pouty lip continues and strangers think you are a serious baby. Ha! Not so much. You still are pretty out on proteins – we are having to supplement with iron drops b/c your levels were borderline at your 9month checkup. Eat some meat, buddy – you’re making your paleo parents sad! You are also out on being sick. You got sick for the first time in your little life this month – with a sinus infection. We had to do antibiotics and although you were your normal self, you had some ugly diapers for awhile, which led to your first bout of diaper rash. It was your first antibiotics – and somehow in the midst of all this – your first puking. It was sad and pitiful and on Christmas Eve! Luckily you woke up the next morning back in action – it was not fun that night, though, to say the least.

Schedule:
Third month in a row we are pretty consistent. You are at 4 nursing sessions a day about 3.5-4 hrs apart.  This usually is 6:30, 10, 1:30, 5:30.
We are still 100% breastfeeding for milk - but also have 3 "meals" a day.  You have solid food at 8:30, 2:30, and 5:45 – now about 3 oz each feeding. You are taking usually 2 naps a day as mentioned in the sleep section, and you sleep at night from 7-6.
