11 Months and Time Won't Stop!

How are you already 11 months! I can't believe your birthday is coming up so soon.  I can't imagine life without you, Tiny - but it doesn't feel like you've been here a full year!  Time needs to slow down!

Length

Last Month: 30"

Now: (? I have literally been delaying this post for weeks due to this missing number…so….I’ll get it at one year!)

Weight

Last Month: 21lbs 2oz (60th %)

Now: 21lbs 9oz (58th %)

Special Talents:
Standing! You love to just stand and hold toys/play with things. You have some great balance little dude. Talking is a pretty special skill right now too – you have so much to share and love doing it frequently. Pointing! You point at everything you see now, it is precious. It is almost like a limp little finger point, and it is too cute.

Crying:
Mainly just whining. Oh, and the HUGE bout of separation anxiety you’ve developed.  You really turn on the crocodile tears when mom leaves – I love you to pieces, and it breaks my heart. Luckily you don’t do it often at school – so it is just with our friends! Ha!

Sleeping:
At night: 7-6:15. You wake up most mornings at 5:20 and make a few whines, but usually soothe back til after 6. Whew.
For naps: At school you sleep consistently an hour and 10 minutes. Every day around 11:45ish-1ish. Usually you refuse to sleep a second nap at school, so you catnap on the way home when I pick you up at 5:30. I sit in the driveway to let you sleep until 6, and then you’re cranky til bed at 7. It is NOT fun. On the weekends you take the pm nap (although you fight it!) and you are a MUCH happier camper. So….boo. I am hopeful you extend the middle nap soon so you get enough sleep at school!

Loves:
Pictures – you love to point at pictures and try to say who you think they are.  You can point at dada and momma pretty well, and certainly can point at the dogs! You love to clap your hands, too – and the pointing thing. So generally, we could say you love your hands. You love to climb – which can be a scary one to say the least. You love pushing buttons – especially ones you aren’t supposed to push that have lights on them (like on the TV receiver!).
SWEET POTATOES! Fries, mashed, chunks, pureed – in any form – you love the sweet potato.

Not so much love:
Fruit – which is weird – because you loved it pureed. But you do not love it in it’s natural state! Obviously being apart from your parents you don’t enjoy.  Your carseat – or rather – being put in your carseat. You are fine just fine once we get going, but you hate the act of getting strapped in. It’s sad.

Schedule:
Fourth month in a row  - same schedule for milk. You are at 4 nursing sessions a day about 3.5-4 hrs apart.  This is 6:30, 10, 1:30, 5:30.
We are still 100% breastfeeding for milk - but also have 3 "meals" a day + one snack.  You have solid food at 8:30,11:30, snack at 2:30, and dinner at 5:45 – now about 4-5 oz each meal and a smaller snack.  Most mornings you have some fruit or a paleo muffin + greek yogurt, then we vary snacks and food the rest of the day trying to include veggies and meat.  You do finally love ground meat, so we can throw that in the mix.  You are taking usually 1-2 naps a day as mentioned in the sleep section, and you sleep at night from 7-6.
