Mini Babymoon

After finishing up the nursery last week, we decided to make a quick weekend getaway for just the two of us.  Seeing as I was 37 weeks our options were fairly limited - but we finally decided on a little jaunt to Granbury, TX - which is about 45 minutes from our house. Our weekend highlights included:

• Staying at a local inn on the lake
• Prenatal in-room massage for me!
• Local chocolates from a boutique on the historic square
• Dining at a 5-star quality restaurant in the middle of nowhere - called Let's Eat! (If anyone is ever going to be in Bluff Dale just let me know - I highly recommend this place!)
• Fireplace lit in our room
• Breakfast at the inn
• And last but not least, a "safari" through Fossil Rim Wildlife Center

Andy had never been on one of these adventures...I have a scarring memory from being a child in Arbuckle Wildnerness and a giraffe actually invading our car...but you can see from the highlights below Andy had no problem at all letting the animals in the car! It was a fun little adventure for a couple of days that allowed us to just get away from the stress of the nursery work and just have fun together.  Plus we certainly decided we'll be taking Fischer back to Fossil Rim when he is old enough to enjoy it!
