A few summer time firsts

The last week before I went back to work my brother & sister-in-law and family came to visit to meet Fischer & spend a little time in Fort Worth!  We had a fun-filled few days - it was fun to see Fischer start to interact with more family and interact with his cousins.  Of course on the whole adventure we somehow failed to get a shot of everyone together - but we'll be going to visit for the fourth so will definitely have to do it then!

We went to his first Rangers game (a few weeks ago when they were still doing amazing...), which he was pretty wishy washy on. I think all the sights and sounds were a bit overwhelming, and the obnoxious man yelling behind us certainly didn't help.  But we improvised and made some earmuffs with his blanket, after which he totally chilled out and relaxed.

The next day the adventure continued at Six Flags. It was a Wednesday and schools in TX were still in session - the forecast was only a high of 83 - PERFECT, right? Notsomuch. Somehow every high school in 200 miles decided to field trip that day, and the temp soared above 90.  The amusement park experience is totally different as a parent too - Andy rode some rides in kiddie land with our nephews and niece, and my brother and I stole the chance to ride one ride (the Titan). As it was climbing...we realized that we were perhaps too old for it - but had a blast nonetheless.  Anyway, 6 hours and one ride later, we headed home for a cool bath. That night we all relaxed and watched the Thunder game at our house - we love the chance to hang out with them and can't wait til next time!
