First Mother's Day

What a special day! All of a sudden this holiday in May is so exciting for me - I loved sharing my first mother's day as a mom with my newly expanded family.  We started the day at church, then met our good friends Stephen & Michele with their daughter Grayson for brunch at Lucille's.  It was also the first mother's day for Michele, and their family also lives states away - so we really enjoyed getting to spend time with them on this special day.  

We also updated Fischer's room that day - we moved in a daybed for his "roommates" over the next

month and got him a new fuzzy rug to play on! Turns out Moses likes the rug too - but such is life. That's why they make vaccuums, right? 

For my mother's day gift I got a necklace with Fischer's little profile, monogram, and birthstone on it.  No matter how old he is I know I'll treasure his tiny little silhouette and think of this first mother's day as his mom.
