Special Talents:
Talking - LOUD, hooking your mouth with your whole hand, pinching the back of momma's arms and neck, grabbing one hair from momma's head and yanking, grabbing toys and moving them to your mouth, holding both feet, putting your toes in your mouth, & somewhat sitting unassisted for very short bursts.
Crying:
Still not crying that much - how great is that!? You are learning to soothe to sleep even better, so some nights you'll cry a few minutes before you conk out.
Sleeping:
At night: You go to sleep at your bedtime so easy - you really won't even let momma rock you most nights. Your bedtime was 7 but you keep trying to move it to 6:30. So we still swaddle up (tried a few nights without unsuccesfully - we'll revisit that one later!), put your silky nearby, give you a paci, turn on the rain...and then you go to sleep. Sometimes you get a bit fussy after a few minutes and want some reassurance, which after we give you are fine to fall asleep on your own.
For naps: You are still a rockstar at napping and getting better by the day! You take at least one solid 2 hour nap midday (usually over lunch), and then a 1 hour nap mid-morning (9ish) and a 1 hour nap in the afternoon (3ish). Then you stay up from the time we pick you up to bedtime - which is probably why you're trying to push it to 6:30. Such is life!
Loves:
Still loving the exersaucer and Sophie. No "new" friends this month really- you are starting to enjoy books a lot more. You grab the pages and turn them for us, which is so helpful! Sometimes you even want to eat them. You love to laugh - and lots of stuff makes you laugh these days - especially your Dad - but also tickles, funny animals, bouncing, shaking, etc. Lots to laugh at. You love the Bubble Guppies in your exersaucer in the mornings before school. We let you hang out there for about 10 minutes as we are loading up everything to go and you bounce and talk and have so much fun!
The nasal aspirator - you don't love when momma takes care of some routine nose maintenance. You also start to get a bit bored being your car seat and are actually starting to not like meeting new people as much. Hopefully you'll stay pretty easy-going as you meet new people frequently at school. Other than that...still the perfect bambino. :)
Look at you loving on Andy...last month I think you noticed him for the first time and this month you want him to sit where you tell him to!
